Is there a way to turn off that sound that come on when I start up the computer? It makes a beeping sound then another sound when Vaio logo appears, even if I hav the computer on mute...

Press F2 on the startup screen to go into the bios. You can turn off the sound there.

Okay, i was able to turn off the the Vaio sound, but not the beeping sound. Anyway to turn that off?
-
Sounds like it could be the POST sound computers make when they boot. The series of clicks actually means that the computer is ok or in the event that the boot is not successful and you can never actually see anything on the monitor, the series of beeps in the post can be used to diagnose the BIOS problem. Just an outside the box guess. Good luck.

hmm...not sure what you mean by the beeping sound...do you mean the sound that comes from the dvd drive? if so, there is no way to turn off that sound AFAIK.
-
no he means the "dum-dum-duuuuuuuummmm!" sound that plays as the VAIO logo appear on the screen

Please read the thread before you post. He already turned off the VAIO sound. He said there's another beep.
Got my new SZ...quick question
