So I did some exploration on all the bestbuy sony laptops today. Maybe it is just me but when you look at these screens up close; they are grainy. In grainy, I mean that the screen looks blotchy, pixelated (tiny squares). It appears the models that are affected are the ones that has the "SNY05FA" screens. Although it is less noticable when observed farther away; it is definitely there (to me).

I checked out the Bestbuy CW, S, NW, and F that was on display. The CW, S and NW has the SNY05FA screens and all of them have this grainy screen effect. The F series however was fine and it has a screen ID of MS_2500.

My current SR screen is a MS_0000 and it does not have this effect. I am quite disappointed and how the screen quality has dropped on S...

Maybe it is just me but does anyone else notice it?

Also if possible, if anyone own the 1st gen CW, can you guys post your screen ID up? To do so, goto device manager > Monitor > Generic PnP > Details > (On Dropdown) go to Hardware ID.
