    Graphic Card Prob

    I was watching a video clip on youtube, all of a sudden my laptop restarted and a message came on, the error code was 0x00000116. But after that it could not start the window in normal mode. if I select the safe mode. it starts the window but the display is not clear, big icons and vertical blue and green lines across the screen. I even tried to run several times but same result. Windows also tried to repair it, restore on an early point but still the same. I also tried to put the recovery disc in dvd drive but it wont start, then I started windows safe mode with command prompt and typed drives letter but it says IO error, it means it is not even recognizing the drive. I also run the setup but still no result. Is it a problem with the graphic card or what. can you pls help me thanks

    If you have an NVidia 8 series GPU it possibly died...

    But it might help if you either specify the laptop (exact model number + country) or the graphics card.

    Laptop model is Sony Vio FE41E and Graphic card is Nvidia Geforce 7400 Go.

    Look at the top of the Sony Forum list of messages for a "Sticky" labeled "Sony comes clean..." You will find more details there.
