I'm looking to buy the Sony FW. I love the look, the hard drive size is great, processor speed is just fine, and i like the wide screen.

The only thing that is making me have second thoughts is the graphics card:

Mobile Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD with Intel® Clear Video technolgy with 1340MB (max) total available graphics memory

I've been told that this is not a great card. I'm fine with not having a top-performance graphics card - I'm not going to be playing any games that would require such a card.

I will mostly be using the laptop for my work, and typical uses, watching dvds, streaming videos, etc. I don't want to be slowed down in something like this.

If I play a dvd in full-screen mode, will i have any problems?

Will photos displayed on the screen look bad?

    Thanks!

Any integrated chip in modern computing history will do those tasks just fine. go with the gma 4500mhd, it's more than enough for your needs.

EDIT: the thing to remember is integrated chips=\=awful graphics. they simply don't play games too well.

movies(except of HD) and photos don't require GPU,so intel 4500 is just fine, but if you wwant to play games, you need something more.

If you do CTO of the sony style website you can upgrade to the ATI 3650 512, that would be perfect for light to moderate gaming.
