My notebook Sony Vaio VGN-AR21S is 2.5 years old and the display shows overall
green lines already at Bios level. The green lines can be seen in every resolution level.
In the title bar there are vertical lines and if I move the window the lines move together with the window. And if I make a screenshot of the screen there are no green lines in the saved bitmap!

I tried to connect to a normal monitor via the analog vga controller but I cannot get it work anymore. Previously it has always worked. I can see the name of the monitor but there is no picture.

What could be defect, VGA, LCD, LCD inverter or motherboard? How could I be sure?
    Anybody help??
    Thank you very much.
