    Hi all,

I was looking for information online about how to perform a clean install of Windows XP on my new Sony SZ440 laptop and stumbled onto these forums. I looked through the threads, and noticed that there are a lot of topics on this issue. Is there any comprehensive/easy to follow post on how I can do this and get everything to work? Is it possible to have everything functional with Windows XP, since Sony does not provide drivers/utilities that support XP? I would really appreciate any help! Since I'm only running on 1 GB of RAM and want to play some games on my laptop, memory on Vista and program compatibility are the major concerns and the reason why I wish to downgrade to XP. Thank you!

yes you can get everything functional -
your best bet is to download the SZ3 Drivers and Utilities from the VAIO Link FTP (which you will find in other threads) and use those drivers with an XP installation.

There should be enough information in the other threads to get things working.
