So I am startin professional school next week and it is a requirement to bring your laptop to class. There are no outlets in class so it will be 100% battery life.

Right now it lasts about an hour or so. I have a SOny VGN-FE670G laptop with a
    VGP-BPS2B battery.

It does not say how many cells are on this battery and I am pressed for time. I dont have time to research which batteries are considered the "best."
Do you guys have a place where you buy good aftermarket batteries, or is the consensus to stay OEM even though they are very pricey.

Also do I already have the extra-capacity battery and it is just dieing (had the laptop for 1 yr) or do I have a standard capacity?
And lastly, if I have a standard one, could you please tell me which extended one I need, and where is the cheapest place to buy these things? I really appreciate everyone's help with this. Thanks so much in advance.

Moved to the Sony forum in the hopes that they'd know better.

OEM is the way to go, personally.
