Hello - I am about to order a Z and was wondering if anyone could comment the disk change procedure in terms of being more or less complex than changing a drive in an SZ.

I have done an SZ - almost messed up the keyboard - so my question is if I can do an SZ is changing the drive is a Z series easier or more difficult.

Anyone out there who has done both? Thanks!

Understood and thanks for the link - I have reviewed that - my question is now it compares to doing the same task on an SZ - changing the hard drive and which is more complex.

Since Sony didn't put the HDD "escape hatch" on the bottom, by the nature of having to open the case, etc., it's going to be a delicate operation.

Thanks for your input. I guess if I did it on the SZ I can do it on the Z....

OK - new Z came in today - RAM and Seagate 7200.3 320GB HD are in! It was not that Bad at all - challenging but in my opinion easier than a SZ - now doing a clean install.

Very nice machine - Vista installed in like 15 minutes. SZ650 up for sale soon.
