Anyone else trying to make this work?

Just got the xbox 360 hd dvd player and am trying to get it playing hooked up to my SZ680.

I am using PowerDVD 7.3 Ultra and it is working on both my intel gma 3100 and the nvidia 8400m gs (i.e. there is picture and sound from king kong)

The "only" problem is that there is still some stuttering in the scenes -- I dont know if anyone else has experience in this and knows of ways to decrease this.

I've gone on avsforum and it looks like people are getting HD video seamless through their integrated graphics card, not to mention a dedicated one

The second link is the general thread of getting the xbox 360 hd dvd addon working with a pc -- I may post there a little later to see if they can help.

The specs on my SZ are better than the recommended requirements for HD playback as listed on cyberlink's site:
    http://www.cyberlink.com/multi/products/require_112_ENU.html

So I would think that I should be able to get good playback through the player -- I guess I'll fiddle around with it more tomorrow

Am open to any and all suggestions

How about giving it a try using a different player and program. As I've already done in several codec/hd-video threads see what results you get with the CCCP codec pack and CoreAVC. CoreAVC is meant to boost decoding by up to 30% . Also as a player give Media Player Classic a try or so (included in the CCCP pack).

Well CoreAVC is only for h.264 -- it won't work for VC-1 stuff

also you have to think about the AACS protection on the HD DVDs -- what players can bypass that?

I tried playing a .evo with MPC and it gave me scrambled green stuff
