    Hey guys,

I have a Vaio Z540, and I really want to replace the default 54000rpm HDD out for an SSD.

    1. Do I need a 1.8" or 2.5" SSD?
    2. Is there any guides on doing the replacement, or is it pretty self-explanatory? Anything special I need to know regarding connectors, etc.?
    3. I plan to buy a top of the line 128GB SSD (from what I've been hearing, it's probably going to be an Intel); this will make a noticeable speed upgrade, correct?

    Thanks everyone!

    1. 2.5" SSD
    2. Service manual, swapping the HDD is easy, opening Z not so much ;)
    3. Top of the line would be SLC? Are you willing to pay for that? Intel is good choice for sure though.
