So I just recently purchased an F series laptop and am very happy with it. My only problem is that when I connect it to my tv, the computer display is larger than the screen, making the outside edges not viewable. This is probably an easy fix, but I can't seem to fix it...any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It's your TV that runs in "overscan" mode. Historically, the transmitted TV image was larger than the displayed image, because TVs were manually adjusted to make the image fit the screen (which often wasn't even square). And things like closed captioning (US) and tv text (Europe) also got transmitted in the "unviewable" area.
That's all well and fine, but TV viewers don't want to see a black border around the image, so the TV producers "blow up" the image so it looks like it fits the screen.
Unfortunately, when the source image isn't TV (or DVD) and really uses all the screen real estate, you lose the border areas.
The solution is to go into your TVs set-up, and look for "monitor mode" or "overscan", and flip that setting. If you can't, you either have to live with it or buy a better TV. There's really nothing the computer can do about this.

try different methods of 'scaling' usually located in the preferences of the display driver

I have same problem in connecting my new Z11 to a ASUS HDMI Tv.

When I choose, in presentation, both notebook and Tv I miss some borders.
If I choose only Tv the image on Tv is perfect.

Unfortunately this is not happening with some games.
