Folks, I'd like some assistance please.

Today I finally installed a new HD in my Sony, however after running the Sony recovery discs, the laptop boots into windows to configure itself for the first boot; unfortunately before it completes, it'll show a pop-up stating:

    Code:
Windows Setup could not configure Windows to run on this computer's hardware
After restarting the machine, I'm back to the above message, anyone like to shed some light as to why it's happening? I'm completely stumped!!

Model # would be helpful, as well as specs, etc. All that's in your signature are mac's. If you are trying to restore them with Sony recovery media I wouldn't be surprised to see issues ;)

    Ah yeah...
    Sorry forgotten
Siggy kinda limited to 700characters, can't fit everything on.. lol

Well, it's a fairly new Sony VAIO VPCEB2M0E/WI, it came with the stock Seagate 320Gb drive which has been swapped out for a brand new WD Scorpio WD7500BPVT, soon after the system recovery disk were created - a little more spacious! ;)
