I just tore my Z13 apart to add grease to the CPU (boy was that thing DRY!).

When I was trying to stick the ribbons back in, I must have screwed something up because I cannot get the WiFi working (disabled and the switch does nothing).

HDD (note, CD drive replacement) and audio work...is that the only cable that would affect the WiFi??? Does someone have a picture/schematic of what is what inside the computer??

One of the connectors (by the SSDs) has a pin sticking out. I cannot get a good picture of it, though I will keep trying I'm hoping that it has nothing to do with it. The connector that does go to the wifi switch/usb/audio/microphone did break as well, but the ribbon feels fairly tight in it...

Well, I've determined that the connection for everything on the front right corner (audio, Wifi) is effed.

Is there anything I can do?? Is it possible to replace the motherboard? Please tell me I didn't just make this one VERY expensive paper weight....

No luck finding an i7, though I will keep a look-out. I also see there are companies that can possibly fix the connector? I may give that a try, since the MoBo is pretty much effed anyway.

Ended up finding a Z13 spec'd almost exactly like mine and bought it...very expensive lesson learned.

    eBay

I was trying to find refurb'd but had no luck. Seems like these are going to be hard to come by...

how about getting a USB wifi stick? I mean, it would be annoying, but perhaps less annoying than replacing the motherboard or using your Z as a paperweight...

No audio, no WiFi, no microphone, and most importantly, no aux internal hard drive. Don't know what happened but I also lost the touch pad.
