I dont know what accessory I need to buy, and if my firewire is what I should be using to connect.. what the SIMPLEST way to do this? and by simplest I also mean CHEAPEST, unless the quality and speed would be amazing..

Firewire may not be the cheapest solution. http://www.synthetic-ap.com/tips/firewireconverters.html That website lists convertor boxes you can buy that convert firewire to video out, but the cheapest one there is 299 dollars. You'll also need to get software, such as Echo Fire, which runs around 250 dollars.
This probably isn't the most cost effective way to get video onto your TV.
Instead, you might want to consider something like this: http://sewelldirect.com/pc-to-tv.asp That will convert the monitor/VGA cable port on the back of the laptop to a composite or s-video out. That was the first one I found and it's only 37 dollars. You might find cheaper variations with a quick Google search for VGA to TV or VGA to Composite or VGA to S-Video, etc. You'll probably have a cheaper and easier time with a unit like that than going with firewire. That's still too bulky for traveling (I would rather take the dollar bill than getting the box!) ... Can anybody verify if this works on their VAIOs (especially the SZ) ?
