I just performed a clean install on my vaio Z until I reached where I install the Battery Check Utility...now I keep getting this bloody message !

"The installed battery may not be properly connected to the computer or may not be compatible with the computer.

Click "OK" to enter Hibernate mode and reinsert the battery!!!!

What the hell is that?? I have never removed the battery or done anything to it..the laptop was absolutely normal before the clean install !!

My laptop top is not usable now...even though it's on ac power I still get this msg

run msconfig and make sure the isbmgr is unchecked. then you won't get the error anymore.

speaking for myself, i dont know but it has happened to me several times since i did a clean install on several Vaio's. it has to do with that service that beaups has said or for me it was the order of the vaio services that had to be installed
