    Price is $895 base price!!! only downside is no RAM and HDD upgrade options BUT WHO CARES! buy better/cheaper ones elsewhere!! (4 gigs is around $100 on newegg, and a 7200 RPM drive is less than $200 on newegg. less than $300 bucks for 4 gigs and 7200 RPM drive ontop of a 900 SR... less than $1,200 for a nearly MAXED OUT SR!!! just add the ATI card and upgrade the CPU)

    QUICK!! order before they change it!! ONCE YOU ORDER, THEY HAVE TO HONOR IT. Seems like they messed up on the page... no estimated ship date..low $895 price... no way that's meant to be.

    The FW series is also out of stock on ram and HDD, but the price is still at 1,059 base price.

    No add to cart button. :( "One or more of the items in your configuration is Out of Stock" despite me not choosing anything that was out of stock.

    Wow, why am I scared/suspicious about this low cost. I mean, I can see it being more competition to that IdeaPad U330..... but that's pretty low even for Sony... Hmm. xD


    Though, isn't upgrading hard drive against warranty? Hmm... I dunno.



    Weird that you can't seem to buy it though.

    I also noticed that you cannot add to cart, as you guys/ladies mentioned. I think it's simply a big error... How could they honestly run out of all RAM and Hard drives? lol.

    For the FW CTO- the option for microsoft office is listed as out of stock as well.

    So, yesterday the FW CTO had free RAM upgrade, free HDD upgrade, and free student version of Office. Now all 3 of those are completely out of stock?

    My assumption is that the back to school/labor day sales drives are over, and Sony is preparing for their next version of promotions and/or re-working their pricing ladders.

    I just recieved the cancellation confirmation for my FW CTO (I chose engraving and later got cold feet due to the "no return" policy), and now that great newegg $200 off deal is over as well. I will be re-ordering when I'm credited for the cancelation, and I hope I don't end up spending more money for less hardware. :eek:

    I checked the link. It costs $1299 now. Too bad the low price didn't last that long.
