Does the notebook feel hot near the processor area. If that is the case, then the temperature is probably right. To double check, try a few other prgrams to monitor the temperature. There have been a few other people who have had similar temperatures, but as long at it doesn't cause any instability then you will be okay. If you are really concerned about the heat, then consider a notebook cooling pad. Hope this helps.

Yes the heat is directly under the fan and by the CPU.
I used NHC to monitor the temps.

Its pretty new about 4 weeks.

Do you have any idea why it was hot but then later on not so hot?
Were you using it under the same load and conditions?

    thanks.

The first week I play Sims 2, the top left corner got really really hot.

I checked using NHC and it was at 78 C.

Right now when I run Sims 2, the temp stay around 68-70 C.

Gaming will cause the system to create heat. I don't think you have anything to worry about at those levels.

Read through the cooling guide for more tips on keeping your system cooler.

    chrisyano,

thanks for your responses. quick and very informative.

    I just thought 80deg C was a bit hot.
The game is actually gameable in Stamina.
So I've been playing it in that mode since there is way less heat.

    much appreciated.
