I just finished downgrading my Sony FZ340 to XP and everything works perfect EXCEPT I noticed the processor says it is a T7250 @ 2.00Ghz instead of the T7700 the unit has.
I can not figure out how to change it!!

Update your Bios and see if that works.
-
Are you getting this information from system info in the control panel or program like CPU-Z?
-
We had a similar problem a while back but it was never resolved
I'm guessing you installed the wrong driver for your cpu. Use cpu-z to check what speed you are running at.
-
windows says it is a 7250 @ 2.0ghz when it is a T7700 @2.4 ghz
-
I have searched ALL over (intel site too) where can I find the correct driver
-
has anyone downgraded a FZ340 to xp and had CPU speed and type reported by xp correct??
repot -
Never used it but try using the intel processor identification utility:
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/fil...XP+Professional&lang=eng&strOSs=44&submit=Go! -
Try installing the XP multi-core patch.
-
Just uninstall the CPU from the device manager and re-start your laptop.

I have tried to install new drivers
tried to install the "patch" windows said I already hvave an updated one installed.
Also uninstalled cpu and rebooted
NO LUCK.
Anything else???
HOw I FIx the the CPU reported by XP???
