If you haven't installed Windows from scratch on this before (clean install), check out the threads for doing that on your model first. You might need to create recovery discs or something. I have a different model, so can't be more specific. -

The 8GB flash memory does give SSD like performance. Commonly used files will end up there, so booting and program launch will be quicker. Large file transfers, however, will fall back to HDD speeds, but even that is going to be faster than the original HDD. What effect the motherboard will have on the performance is going to be the limiting factor.
