    Has anyone got Ubuntu 11.10 working with VPC-Z2?

    I'm thinking of buying one and would love to know if anyone has got ubuntu working with Z2 series?

    Not quite sure what you're getting at...I boot up OpenSEUS on my Z1 with most funtionality. Are you asking if anyone has compiled a kernel specifically for the Z2?

    He's asking if anyone got it to run, like, at all.

    I remember the earlier versions of Ubuntu did not work properly on Z1 series unless you've hacked your bios to enable static GPU switching. There were some graphics corruption and touchpad issues of out the box. But I think these are no longer present with the latest Ubuntu.

    Given that the Z2 doesn't have dual gpus built-in, I'm guessing Ubuntu should run okay. But I don't know how it'll play with the PMD.

    You can just boot it off the USB and see how it works; no need to actually install it.

    Well you can't solely on that on my Z11 ubuntu worked much better on live usb rather SSD installation.
