    Has anyone gotten the AV mode working with a nvidia card installed?

    Reading some of the threads it seems that the AV mode instant on feature only works with the Intel graphics card. Has anyone been able to sucessfully fix this problem and got working with the nvidia card?

    I think nvidia has to come out with some solution. Sony should also stop posting about the "AV instant mode" in the FZ models featuring the nvidia card.

    They really should because right now all those dedicated playback control buttons on my vaio seem pointless since you can easily use windows to accomplish the same things.

    The dedicated buttons still work. Only the AV button start up vista.

    even i got a fz 290.....smae here av mode not workin.........and is it confirmed that this thing cannot be rectified....

    AV Mode on an FZ??? I think you guys are confused AV mode is only on the TZ and in the past on the TX. The AV buttons on the FZ and AR are just like the media buttons on any normal multimedia keyboard.

    Its not an issue of it not working with a particular graphics card Intervideo Instant on - av mode - is a small linux partition that is present on the TZ itsphysically not there on the FZ or AR
