I'm quiite interested in purchasing an SZ laptop, specifically the SZ160 but I'm trying to figure out where to buy it. On one hand there are several reputable online stores to purchase it from, but I wonder if I'm better off getting it directly from the SonyStyle online store. Right now the only way to customize an SZ series laptop directly from Sony is to add the biometric finger print reader (which I want anyway) but you can't order the webcam as it's out of stock. Also I can order the silver keyboard as opposed to the black only from Sony direct. The last reason it that it seems the Sony online store has a 30 day return policy in case I don't like it or anythings wrong with it where even Sony retail stores don't do this.

I purchase my SZ-140P from SonyStyle with any problems, except I have to wait almost 2 months because were out of stock, but they do not charge on my credit card untill send the laptop.
On the other hands, I do not recomend to purchase a SZ-160 because SONY will not offer it any more, it will be replaced bye the models SZ-170 & SZ-180. -
OK, I'm confused. I went to the SonyStyle website but I don't see models SZ-170 or SZ-180. There is a model SZ-281 that is $3199 otherwise ther is model SZ-140 that doesn't have the carbon fiber case. Do you know the specs of the SZ-170 and SZ-180? Also when they are scheduled to be released?
Has anyone purchased their Vaio SZ laptop from Sony online?
