My fan is slowly dying... lots of bearing noise, doesn't always start, unit is toasty warm, etc.
Thanks to OVERDRIVE's detailed instructions, I performed minor surgery on the unit and was able to get to the fan, but am not sure how to actually remove it. Or, in fact, what should be removed.
Is the replacement fan just that, the fan, or does it include the metal housing, etc.?
The p/n on the existing fan is Toshiba MCF-513AM05-1.
Also, the only one I have found thus far is on eBay for $120! Other sources would be appreciated!
Many thanks,
Jim

I've had the exact same problem as you. The bearing sound as if the're going for a few weeks and then the fan stops completely. My laptop is different, its a vaio T350P/L but a google search on the part number showed up this site.
Sorry I can't help you out about how to take out the fan because thats as far as i could get as well. Its with a friend at the moment who's a bit more capable than me. I think there is some soldering involved.
My laptop has been out of action for a few months now because i think this laptop was never sold my side of the atlantic and the parts are impossible to get hold of, so if somebody can help find a new part it would be greatly appricated, and I wouldn't have a problem paying the likes of 120 dollars,
Has anyone replaced a fan in a VGN-T370P?
