    Hi guys,

I'm trying to connect my VGN-FS515E to my TV to watch downloaded and DVD movies etc.
My laptop only has a VGA output and according to sony and the user manual this output will allow me to connect to another monitor, projector or TV. My TV has RCA and s-video inputs. I bought an adapter lead (minimal cost) which has a VGA plug on one end whilst the other end has two cables, one is s-video and the other RCA video. I've connected the laptop to the TV using the s-video end of the adapter but all I get on the TV is a flickering haze. Also the audio can only be heard on the TV for a split second before going quiet.
The laptop recognises that a device is connected because it allows me to switch to the TV using the Fn-F7 buttons.
Does anybody know if it's an actual VGA to s-video converter I need? You can buy these for around £35
Can anyone help me to resolve this problem? I'm sure it can be done.
    Thanks
