I stopped by my local SonyStyle store today and they had white TZ models on display which I have not seen before. The last few times I went by all of the TZ models were black. They also had a sign that said there was a $200 discount on SZ and TZ models for the Thanksgiving weekend, when I asked if the discount was still in effect I was told no and the salesperson said they forgot to remove the sign!

Yes, thats the TZ185N/WC in North America that just came out, I know the rest of east Asia has white TZs as well, no other regions yet. Mandersen here got his white TZ91 from Japan.

Yes, there are Sonystyle dedicated stores nonamelol.

I like to refer to the TZ185N/WC as the "stormtrooper" model. It fits, and the machine looks pretty slick.

Im writing on a white TZ now.

It's pretty sweet, but not like a macbook, for those of you that havent seen it.

Only the screen and the 'body' are white, that is the bottom looks like all other laptops. So it's not like a macbook.

Also the battery is still black.

For me it was a no-brainer. I think it looks great!

I saw the white TZ at the San Francisco Sony Style store yesterday. It was not even with the other Laptops, it was sitting in it's own section, looking all cool and everything.

I was there making my final decision on a TZ. This forum has been a a great help. Thanks.

Thats a shame, how easily dirty does it get, how often do you have to clean it?

Actually, I suppose dirty is the wrong word.

"It shows dust" is more appropriate, particularly the keyboard [look at the close-up picture I posted].

I need to get some compressed air to spray it clean.

Also the port cover on the left side catches the light funny, and makes me think it has a big black mark on it sometimes...

My experience with the white TZ is that it NOT shows much dirt or "grease" marks or others signs of being badly used. It's only one thing I am avoiding, that is using the white TZ right after having read a newspaper, to avoid the fingerprints from that source. Apart from that, I use it in a regular way, and there is surprisingly little "dirt marks" on it. And it is easy to clean if there comes some marks of the abovementioned sources on it.

    Congrats mandersen!

How was your experience with conics? Time of delivery and taxes? Are you satisfied with your TZ so far? I don't know if purchase the extended battery instead of the standard, cause the non-availablity of a second battery. How much time last your battery?
    Enjoy it!

Very pleased with Conics and very satisfied with the TZ. Think the standard battery time with "light use" (Word, surfing) is about 5-7 hours.
