This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     ... and shaken it about a good deal over the last couple of weeks, my greatest hope now is that Sony will revive the X as an Ultrabook.

    Basically if Sony can reinterpret the Tosh as a <800g, ~6-hour, 11" machine with Gobi at ~$1.5K, I'm in. Unfortunately as regards the Z830, for me there's shades of the R-series which I never really liked that much - so it's being tossed into the pool of Stuff My Minions Can Play With.

    However I do have to say that the hardware design of the Tosh means that there's likely to be significantly less of the cosmetic issues that plagues the 'plastic' / alloy-in-often-inappropriate-locations of the flagship VAIOs. I do wish Sony would ape that.
