As much as I love my new TZ, I am having second thoughts.
Granted it's the most sexy laptop i've ever seen, it's very fast (SSD rocks, so does XP), it's light, the W-LED screen is the highest quality computer screen I've ever seen (and I am very picky).
The only problem I have with it is it's size. The 11,1 inch screen in combination with the high resolution makes me want to increase the size of websites and default windows letters back and forth. I suddenly start appreciating my good old 15,4 inch Asus laptop with it's 1200*800 resolution and full blown keyboard.
And now some circumstances are changing in my work, it turns out I'll be travelling a lot less, so I'll be working at home at lot more. I will propably sell my TZ.
Before this experience I was considering 12 inch laptops, now I realize 12 inch will also not suite me. I will start looking at 13,3 and 14,1 inch laptops. SZ6 is high on my list.

I saw this one coming, considering your questions about the SZ6.

Philflow, i can agree with you that,
Basically, when you are purchasing sub-notebook (1KG~) then you are seriously expected to pay (much) higher. Thats the only major trade-offs.
As for myself who owned 5 laptops previously, I chose TZ because it is the 'FASTEST' CPU available with such a light-weight, I know Toshiba R500 is another choice, but this model was not really available and its expesive, etc.
Yes I was going to get SZ or M1330, but in terms of battery, etc this will just make my laptop 'yet another ~2KG collection' hehe,
In my case, I will be only using TZ for email/browzing/report typing/etc. I know its kinda silly, because I could have carried around my 13 or 15inch laptops, but this is still too heavy. Plus including adaptors, etc, you'd be carrying 2.5-3+KG all the time... I call this Un-portable. -
When I'm at home at my desk I connect my tz to my monitor and then use a BT keyboard and mouse. That works out very well for me. The only thing I have to plug in is the monitor and power adapter.
With XP installed, I find the TZ to be fast enough to be my main computer. -
I've been using zoom functions in Opera browser. And have been increasing textsize in various XP settings. Although it helps, it often also screws up some things, like the webpage or aspectratio's. -
thanks -
Press Fn+F10 for quick zoom in and zoon out in sony tz.

It works great for me. Full size keyboard, mouse, and 19" inch wide monitor with built in speakers. All of it Sony of course. Best part is, when I change laptops, I also replace docking station, but the rest stays.

I mainly bought the TZ for on the road. But since my work is going to change, I don't really need the TZ anymore. So anyone interested can PM me.
