I've recently been having some trouble with my SZ. For one thing, the DVD-RW drive won't write any discs, but that's less important than the heat issue: whenever I do anything CPU-intensive (3dmark05 for example) my CPU temp can get all the way up into the 80s. Then I lose my wireless connectivity, and the system becomes unresponsive. Is there somewhere I should look inside it to find out if the fans are blocked, and how would I get to this spot (do I need to take out the keyboard?)

    Thanks for any help.

if your unit is for quite a while now. i suggest a cleaning issue should be acknowledged. accumulated dust and such will make the fan inefective though. Also, try to see what's hogging your system or software conflicts that makes the functionality of your notebook subpar. Why not after cleaning reinstall everything from OS to your favorite software. :D
