Hello,
I just formatted my sister's vaio but do not have the original drivers,i.e. the video driver. The model fo the Vaio is the PCG-813, it's an ancient piece of machinery. Could somoeone link me to a site, where I can dl the video driver? thanks

Wow, you may be beat!! It couldn't even be located on Sonys support site. The comp was there, not the driver you seek. For a computer that old, it's odd that Windows wouldn't have a generic driver that is compatiable. Offhand, you can try:
1. Locate the model of your video adapter and try to google it to find a download.
2. E-mail Sony and see if they can't provide you with the driver. I would make the case that it is an old machine, you don't have access to the recovery media, and the driver isn't available on their site. -
Thanks for your help =) Yeah I can't even identify the video card in my sister's comp. *sigh* oh well

Try clicking on the "Option 1" and see if it doesn't detect your model.
Edit: If that doesn't work let me know. If it does work. . .let me know. []
