and the problem is, I don't have a password!! I have a Vaio S560P/B. I was in the process of enabling my system BIOS password (with my 1 yr. old baby next to me...BIG MISTAKE) when he reached over and pressed some buttons, the next thing I knew...it shut down!! So of course now it prompts me for my password. Sony support said that they don't have a "default" password, and they want me to ship it to them so the can "disassemble" it a little. Do I have any other options? Can anyone help? PLEASE!!!!
Thanks,
-
Well just try 0000 as the password, you never know its the standard password. If that fails the only other way is to clear the bios this Is done by removing the bios battery.

It is not that hard to disassemble the unit.
Just follow the hard drive replacement instructions given in this forum, find the bios battery and remove it. -
Thanks for the info... I still don't know if I will attempt taking her apart, things would never be the same...
