Well ive had the TZ90 for a week now and ive got to say i really love it but ive got one major problem, when im surfing streaming sites such as you tube, its fine when i have the power adaptor on but when im running on battery, the wifi connection seems to be cut down by half and i wont be able to stream videos on youtube the same way i do with the power plug connected. I did another test by playing Warcraft 3, when im on battlenet, playing a game, everything seems fine but after i pull the power plug out (while in the game), ill start to lag and eventually get disconnected unless i put the power plug back into my laptop.

Does any TZ owners have the same problem as i do? Can i turn off whatever that is slowing down my wifi connection when im running on battery?

Doesn't look like your Wifi is slowing down but your processor, I'll bet it cuts down to half speed when running on battery, there is an option to make it run at full speed on battery.

Im not 100 percent sure on this but I think you need go to control panel/poweroption and go to advance and change the performance function such as processor and wifi. I believe the initial setting of wifi on battery is max battery performance so you probably need to change it to max performance.

I think there is some power setting in Vista control panel where you can adjust both CPU stepping and Wifi power save mode.

Go to => Control Panel => power options => high performance [or which ever is active] => change plan settings => Change advanced power settings => Wireless Adapter settings => Power saving mode [off]

I personally do not like any of the power saving option. I did rather bring my 1lb extend battery than have to cut already cripple TZ performance to half LOL.. but that is just me.
