    Hi,

I broke my laptop screen. I bought an external monitor and connect the monitor to the laptop. I tried to start the laptop, but I still cannot see anything (in the external monitor). I tried fn+f7, and a few other short-cut keys but it didn't work. I tried to launch Bios, but still don't see anything. Any suggestions how I can use the laptop using the external monitor?

(I suspect that I didn't log into windows...)

    Thanks.

    1)Turn on PC.
    2) Wait a few minutes for it to boot Windows, at one point you should be at the logon screen. (Just turn on your computer it should bring you to the windows logon screen)
    3) Press Windows+"P" a few times.

The computer should switch to the external moniter.

    Hope I helped.

    Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately, I cannot see anything because my laptop lcd is dead. I am not sure whether I log into Windows successfully, but most likely, the computer does not log into Windows. No way to check though..

Does it have remote desktop enabled? Connect to it then.

Otherwise, connect a monitor and press WinKey + P a lot of times.
