    You can check it by select High Performance power profile.
    Run prime95 and CPUZ to see if CPU throttle is up to max.

    Also - are you using any battery saving power plan?

    If I run the Vaio max battery saver function my T9300 downclocks from 2,5GHz to only 1,6GHz to save battery life.
