Hi, my brother broke the LCD screen on his Sony Viao VGN-SZ1 XPC laptop. This laptop was purchased in France so it is not a US model (usually only keyboards and bios are different). I am trying to help him find a place where we can order a replacement (in the USA). This is a 1280x800 screen that is 13.3" in size.

Can anyone recommend a compatible replacement part for this model of laptop?

    thanks
    David

Check eBay or perhaps ScreenTek to check what the serial # is and how much the screen itself will cost.

I tried that already, the problem is that I can only find screens for US models. If someone could help me determine which US model has an equivalent screen as the VGN-SZ1 XP/c then that would help a great deal.

The part number for your brother's SZ1 and all other Premium SZs is LTD133EXBX. If he does a search on Google for "LTD133EXBX" he can find the shops that sell it.

It happened in France, he slipped on some ice and landed on his backpack w/the laptop in it. He is no longer in France and we need to replace the screen through some US based source...

Hi. I have a similar problem. Does anyone know how to replace the lcd in this notebook after you've already bought the new screen?
