I got my Z21 when it first came out with 4GB of RAM, and I'm completely regretting not getting 8GB. I know it's soldered on, but surely there's a process someone, somewhere has to upgrade it? Has anybody had any experience contacting Sony direct to do this?

I'm at my wits end and about to re-buy another Z2 with 8GB of RAM... any help would be appreciated!

Sorry, you have to get a new MOBO to get the RAM upgraded.

Or, you have to buy a new Z...

It's kinda silly that Sony sells an ultrapremium with only 4GB.

I have tried to ask them to upgrade it (well I asked if they could upgrade it), but they were being difficult so I just returned my 4GB one and ordered the 8GB version...

Apparently you can not upgrade the ram, but it is possible to remove the 4Gb that are on the Mboard to put another 8Gb.
