I have a problem with my FS series and it's mouse.

About every 5 minutes all open windows and/or programs stop respondin to the mouse. The task bar and start menu also stop responding. The only thing that helps is opening task manager with ctrl+alt+del and closing it.

windows does not crash in any way. The mouse just does not respond to clicks. As you can imagine this problem is very anoying.

The laptop is a European model FS295XP and it's running windows xp professional sp2

I would appreciate any ideas how to resolve this.

I'd start by re-installing your drivers.
