So, I purchased my SZ with a 3-year accidental 1-day exchange no questions asked warranty, that I paid top dollar for, just in case.
I'm usually very careful with my machines, but I figured this will give me more piece of mind.
It was this new boutique that just opened up... and I grilled them about closing down suddenly, and they were very firm that they would be just fine... well...
I walk by the store the other day and I see they're out of business !
It's not a chain, either... the whole company is out of business.
They had a phone number to call about warranties, and when I called they said they would honor the warranty, but they're not sure about the "1-day computer exchange" thing anymore.
If another company handles their warranties, that company certainly does not have a warehouse I can walk into and pick out a new machine ! That and a store has people I can talk to, whereas a secondary warranty company has a phone number and a prayer![]()
Help ! What do I do ? Any similar experiences ? I'm pretty upset about this...![]()

Get your money back all together.

If they tell me that they cannot honor the aggreement 100% in full with the same level of service that they had when they had an open store, I will consider that.
At the very least, I'd want to get the warranty back then I can extend with Sony. Better than nothing. -
Oops that acutally what i meant. But im pretty sure its illegal to sale a warranty and not honor it.
I hope this works out for you.
