I found specifications on different Sony websites showing that this model contains Gobi2000. other states that there's only Gobi1000.
does anyone know that for sure - which one is it?
Thanks,

original is 1-458-046-21 EVDO/HSPA CARD

And why OS is recognizing it as Qualcomm Gobi (just doesn't say which one is it)?

you need software and drivers?
-
No. I have problem using SIM card from operator. I know for a fact that that operator's bands are supported by Gobi 2000. not by Gobi 1000.

which program you are using for connect 3G to NET?
is this orange preinstaled? -
Software is from the operator. not orange. I just need to know which modem is it. connection software is irrelevant. I saw the same version connecting and working perfectly on newer Vaio VPCZ13. this one has Gobi2000 for sure. I just need to know if it's worth struggling with my Z41WD. I was trying to connect for days. still nothing. I know for a fact that Gobi1000 is 100% NOT compatible with bands that this operator is working on (and/or SIM card type they are providing).
