    Hi,

Im looking at choosing between two machines. They are very similar.

    VGN-CR490EBR (US)
    vgncr35gr ( New Zealand )

    Biggest differences

US machine is 2.4 ghz, NZ is 2.1ghz
US machine is 250 HD, NZ is 200 GB
US machine has integrated x3100, NZ has Radeon x2300

The price difference is pretty much $100 cheaper if i buy the US one. Obviously the CPU and HD comparison is not difficult to make, but the graphics card is. do i get the clower spec cpu and higher spec graphics card or is the x3100 not too bad? Its going to be a development machine, Visual Studio 2008, that sort of thing, might play the odd game etc..

    What do you think?

    Thanks

i saw this review on the card-->>

Well as u can clearly see this X2300 Gpu is nothing more than x1300 ( again another renamed card from AMD ???) . in any case the performance are about the same .we hope that this was just driver issue and x2300 will show better performance ...

not sure it's accurate, but thought I'd post for you

in the end, there's really not that much diff in the cpu's (imo)
