    Hello friends,

    I own Vaio VGN-CR14GN.

    I am having heating issues, it gets so much i can't even put it on my lap it burns like fire. And can i upgrade my vaio.

    I have
    Intel Core 2 Duo T7100
    DVD +-RW/+-R DL/RAM Drive ( Don't read or write anything now)
    ATI Radeon X2300
    2GB RAM ( Each Slot 1GB)

    My question is can i upgrade cpu,ram,gpu

    If i can what ram will get operated 1066 or 1333 or 800 mhz

    Please help

    Clean out the vents with compressed air.

    You didn't told me what parts i can upgrade and where can i find compressed air?

    You can find compressed air at walmart, staples, office depot, anywhere really.

    Your ram is: PC2-5300 I believe.

    Not too sure how to figure out what CPU you can upgrade to.

    EDIT: Best CPU I think you can get is the T7800.

    You need to think about replacing your machine like I recommended in your other thread.

    You are maxed on RAM at 2GB and replacing the CPU/GPU/HDD would likely cost more than a new 14" laptop. I'm positive you can't swap GPU's in your machine and almost positive you can't replace the CPU.
