Use your restore dvd/cd 's. You can re-create partition and put all the drivers there.

Please do not post links to pirated proprietary software or means to get it. I'm sorry to delete the previous post, but asking for pirated copies is not allowed on NBR either.

I would suggest you contact Sony and see if there is anything you can do.

Word of warning to anyone reading this thread who hasn't done so: BURN YOUR RECOVERY DISKS WHEN YOU GET YOUR NEW NOTEBOOK. Any manufacturer who doesn't have physical disks, most likely has some sort of recovery media you can burn. Do it first thing. Even before you take off all the crap that companies put on machines. That way you are safe if something screws up.

As for you, try contacting Sony of Canada for possible SZ200 series recovery disks. Though most all of the drivers for your system will be found on esupport.sony.com.

Even when you start the recovery from the installed Recovery software on computer? 'Cause it allows you to partially install drivers etc. from the partition.

    no, not that simple, sadly
firstly i would go to the Vaio recovery or whatever they name it
then it asked me for the first of the recovery set and have me reboot my computer
then it would copy all the contents of the recovery set to the hidden partition (i guess, because in one out of five times i recover my computer, it said something like "the partition is full, try to free up some space and try recovering again")
so i wonder what's the hidden partition for? if i still need my recovery set, then i'd better get rid of it
