Ok, I am starting to drive myself nuts because I just can't make a decision between these two notebooks.[|)]

    The SONY VAIO FS195VP - £1,059 or the SONY VAIO S3HP £1,319?

They both have a pm 1.6ghz and Geforce 6200 Turbocache 128mb. But the FS195VP only has DDR ram I think? Also 4200rpm HD, no High-Definition Audio either. The S3HP has DDR2, 5400rpm sata HD, not sure about High-Definition Audio though? I dont play games so the graphics card should be ok.

So, I guess the S3HP is more future proof than the FS195VP? Will the S3HP handle Longhorn when it comes out better than the FS?

Another problem is the fan noise of the S series is loud according to some people, I could not tell in the store when I looked at one[ :(] On the other hand the FS is apparently very quiet! I really do like both of them but the S3HP really does tempt me more than the FS, but there's good and bad about both! Which one would you go for?

Hey just a note about the high definition Audio, The FS series have a Realtek High Definition Audio Chips in it. Not to sure sure about the S series but most likely it is going to have the same thing.

You're positive about the Realtek chip? The only thing I can find about it is that it has 8-channel output, but that was on a desktop motherboard, so I'm not sure if the laptop is the same. If true, that would be a big plus for the FS that I would be interested in.
