I had my laptop for about a year. 1 week ago i installed vista ultimate. Today i was using my computer and i fell asleep for 30minutes (it had a full battery) . When i woke up there was green screen. I tried to push any keys or alt+cntrl del but no keys were working. I manual shut it down, tried to turn it back on but only the green power light is showing. No Sony Screen or anything, it just stops there. I did not modify anything beside the vista.
Please help me, thanks,
Tony

Unplug, remove the battery, plug back in and try and power up with the battery removed.
-
Same thing happens! except now the battery light is solid. If i put back the battery then it stays off. no blinking occurs

Can you even go into safe? Does it get anywhere in the boot cycle or POST?
-
it doesnt go near the safe mode. doesnt even go near the vaio logo screen
-
try removing and putting back in the ram
-
oh and Hong Kong SZ18s arent officially supported for vista bios wise unlike UK models, dont know why but yeah
-
Strangely, i just left it alone for 6 hours, tried to turn it on and it went on perfectly?
-
Okay well its happening again. After i started it and it worked i hibernated it, now it wont turn on. What could this be?
-
also tried removing and installing back the ram. no luck
