Hey guys seems like the Nvidia 8400gt graphics card in my Vgn-Ar630e bit the dust. I argued with Sony for hours and even got them to agree to repair it under the recall. Once the laptop was in their possession they say that they never agreed to repair under recall and that it will cost me 700 dollars. No thank you. I go to Tufts University and the computer support team there fix computers free of charge. However, now I need to find a new motherboard for this laptop (according to Sony). They eventually told me that damage to one of the usb ports caused the motherboard to go, therefore causing the graphics card to give out. MY question is, where is the best place to find a motherboard for a Vgn-Ar630e and if any other model's motherboard can be used. Finally, if there is another route I should be taking to fix this video issue please let me know. The signs that the video card is fried are:
1. When I turn the laptop first on, there are green vertical lines around the "Vaio" screen.
2. This screen is followed by a black screen with a bunch of characters that look like quotation marks.
3. Finally when Windows tries to load the screen just stays black and nothing appears.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
*Sorry I misspelled VGN-AR630e in the Title.

Forgot to mention that the computer boots and works while in safe mode. IF not in safe mood, it never boots.
