So here out my dilemma. I have a Vaio VGN-CS36GJ. I have 2 other friends who have the same laptop.

So My laptop which I recently updated to windows 7 (pirated while waiting for the original one to be shipped in) and I started having a lot of problems. My pc would just shutdown unexpectedly :S like I''m just using it and PEW! It shuts down as if it's out of power. (It was plugged in btw)

So I wanted to recover back to vista using the recovery disks created the day I bought that laptop (I have 3 sets of them)

While booting the recovery disk I see only the option

    -Windows Hardware Diagnostics
    -Restore C: Drive
    -Restore Complete System
-Save file or something like that.
    -Wipe and Erase Data

But no matter which set or which options I choose I get the same error "Error: , Error: 92" when trying to recover. So both the options "restore" was out.

The only option I had left was "Wipe and erase Data" I tried that because I thought that would get rid of everything and I could restore.
Bad mistake..Now even My recover partition is gone! And I still can't "Restore Whole System"

I've managed to get back to Windows Vista Home Premium using the tutorial of this thread:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=318134

But I want it to become just like before, with the recovery partition.

    So, How do I start?
Please bear in mind that I can get any file from the recovery partition since I have 2 laptops just like mine.

The only option I can see for getting the recovery partition back is cloning the hard drive of one of your other computers (assuming that they're also similarly spec'd Vaio CS's), and then restoring the OS from the partition itself.

You'd need to create a disk image using something like Acronis TrueImage or Norton Ghost.

It'd also make the process much easier if you could find a way to mount the empty drive into the laptop of which you are cloning, which would allow the program to just image directly onto the hard drive.

    kelvin,

just to inform you that windows 7 does work for mine (VGN-CS16G/W) without any unexpected shutdown. So it might be caused by your pirated version of windows.

And also do watch out as you might be having problem with your screen brightness on Windows 7/64bit if you do decide to use it. Here's the post http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=452192

That's very likely. Also, I second andrew.. that's probably the only way it can be done. If any of your friends have an external HDD or anything like that, you can replace the HDD that's in the external temporarily with the laptop drive and easily clone it over USB. The connectors are the same on both if it's SATA... there are other ways, but that's how I did it last time.
