    HEllo everybody

    i have a bit of a problem.
    i have installed Vista on my laptop and since that my graphic card does not appears anywhere.
    i have a sz2vp/x vaio with a geforce 7400
    it i should work

    i don't understand please help

    you need to have vista compatible nvidia drivers.

    i have them, i downloaded them from the sony website, and from the nvidia website
    how can i see if there are unknow devices in my pc? the device manager shows that eveything it ok. but the graphic card is missing

    the graphics card should be under display adaptors in the device manager.

    what does it say in yours then, if the card is missing?

    it says Mobil Intel 945GM express chipset controller

    thanks it worked, however my cpu is still extremilly high (50 to 70%).
    my ventilator runs mad...

    any idea?

    It's very difficult to say from afar. After Vista installation a lot of different tasks are running, so give them some time to do their job. Check with task manager all running tasks, play with power management settings, etc.
