    Hi there,

I've got a 4-year old Vaio S5m which I plan on using as a backup computer. Its DC jack is coming loose, and I figured I'd try fixing it myself (seeing as its my reserve laptop, I can afford to experiment a bit).

Problem is, I can't seem to locate a DC jack for my model. It would appear Vaio model numbers differ between the US and Europe, since US sites seem to have no mention of the VGN-S5m.

Any idea where I could get ahold of a DC jack for my model? Or, failing that, does anyone here know what the equivalent of my model is in the USA?

Specs of the laptop (as I bought it):
    Intel Pentium-M 740 Processor 1.7GHz
    512MB DDRII SDRAM
    80GB Hard Drive
    DVD Dual Layer Drive
13.3" WXGA Widescreen X-Black TFT Screen
NVIDIA GeForce Go 6400 with TurboCache supporting 128 MB
Integrated LAN and 56k v.90 data fax modem
Integrated wireless 802.11b/g - Call for advice on Wireless networking3 USB 2.0 Sockets
    4-pin Firewire (IEEE 1394) Port
Weight approx. 1.95kg (just over 4 lbs)
