Ok im going to get a sony laptop (again) can someone just give me the heads up on what one to get, or if i dont list the best for my money then link to me whats better.

My first choice has hdmi out which i dont think choice 2 has, however choice 2 is in white which i prefer. Choice 3 is the most expensive, but i dont know if its much better than choice 1?

I would really like it to have a hdmi out slot so i can stream stuff from my laptop onto my 1080p TV, but as i said i dont think option 1 does have hdmi, grrrrrrr i was after a 13" initially but i guess this will do.

anyway any info will be appreciated!

    thanks in advance Gary

    First choice right now is.

#3 over #1 for sure, for the 50 difference you get a bigger HDD and a dedicated video card with HDMI. Between #3 and #2 would have more to do with your budget constraints. I believe this should be in the "What notebook should I buy" section though

ooo sorry i was pointed here, thanks for the advice though!

cosmok can you just confirm that 2 does not have an hdmi port? if it doesnt then i think i will go for #3....... i would only be using the hdmi slot for the streaming of low quality feeds however, so is there any point? or would vga suffice?

Yes, I sent him your way after we narrowed it down to Sony in the WNSIB? forum.. I figured you guys would have the specific Sony knowledge, much more so than myself.

tbh i would have the extra chunkiness just so i could get the smaller screen size :p

CW also has a blu ray drive (if ya aint got one already) and better graphics card.

If you're not going to be running 1080p through HDMI #1 should be fine. I believe WMP12 has built in hardware acceleration for the Intel 4500 series and it should be able to handle 720p. The only difference between #1 and #3 is the video card.
