    Hi all,

I really need to open my Z21, I want to switch its screen with my Z11 one
which is far better :/, my new Z21 screen looks greenish and has a very
annoying flawed group of pixels and I doubt sony is willing to replace it.

I will also need to open for my Z21 eGPU mod, as I will soon a very
convenient mini-hdmi soldered with a PM3N that measures the exact size
I need. (it is far above my expectations, look at my Z21 eGPU mod for
    explanations)

I have tried several times to open it but I obviously didn't manage to.

I first removed, the battery and my sim card, then I removed 9 screws
(15 with the battery) I didn't forget to remove two screws hidden hidden
by two bumper. But nothing came off.. And what should come off ?
    Keyboard or back case ?

I have also read the ZoinksS2k's Z21 photos and teardown post several time
which also helped me a bit but because I'm not a native english speaker
and I didn't understand properly what I'm supposed to do with the spudger.

Any tips are very welcomed !

^Why don't you try to get sony to fix it first? The panel is very expensive.

I won't buy a new one, I would like to switch my Z21 panel with my Z11 panel, since both are full-HD panels.

These pixels aren't exactly dead or blocked, they are just brighter, it's like a small stain.
It's not noticeable under dark colored background, but it's very noticeable under light colors...
Do you think Sony could fix it ?

But I'm somewhat worried of sending it because once my Z11, came back with a lot of new scratches on the lid...
I still don't know if it was the sony repair center or UPS wh did that.

Sony would replace that panel, if they chose to fix it. Are you certain the Z11 panel will fit your Z21? Connector positions, etc. tend to move between models.

Zoinks (I believe) posted a good tear down guide BTW.

Hmmm, I'll take a picture and contact sony, I think that's a more reasonnable idea than trying to do it myself... but I still would like to open, so I can try my eGPU mod since I'm soon getting specially designed tools for.

As I said earlier I read it several times and I didn't manage to open my laptop, I didn't understand how I'm supposed to use the spudger to open it.

after you take out the battery and ALL the screws the D panel (bottom plate) comes off.
