My FS742 has been ordered and should be here by tuesday. One of the first things I want to do is upgrade my RAM to 1G. I've read that 2 512MB sticks are slightly better than 1 1G stick, so I'm thinking that's what I'll do. I've searched around the forum and can find advice for S-series, but not FS-series.

Apparently Crucial, Corsair, Kingston or Kingmax are good brands to get off of Newegg (crazy how much cheaper than Sonystyle they are), but I'm a little lost as to how many pins I need them to have and all that.

    Is this right?:

    240-pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 400 (PC-3200)?

Do I need to worry about Cas Latency, ECC, Voltage, Registered/Unbuffered?

There're all these options on Newegg--kind of confusing...

Thanks and thanks for all the help so far, too.

Yeah, I already saw that actually. Thanks. But it doesn't really mention the specifics of the type of RAM to buy...

how many pins, should it be 400MHz or can it handle higher, etc.

    Thanks!
